Courses
Why is the Introductory Course required?
The four-week Introductory Course gives you an overview of cybersecurity and a preview of our learning environment, helping you decide if the Complete Program is the right fit before you commit.
Can I earn certifications during the bootcamp?
You will gain foundational knowledge for certification exams, but only the CompTIA® Security+ Certification exam and its fees are included in the program. Other certification exams and fees are not covered.
What is TDX Arena?
TDX Arena is our advanced, cloud-based platform where you can develop your offensive and defensive cybersecurity skills in a simulated real-world environment.
How does the program count as experience to employers?
Through our TDX Arena platform, you will participate in realistic cybersecurity simulations, allowing you to apply classroom learning to real-world scenarios.
Will I earn a degree?
You will earn a certificate of completion, showcasing your readiness for a career in cybersecurity. If you take the optional CompTIA® Security+ Certification Exam Prep Course, you will also receive a voucher for the exam.
Is the curriculum up to date?
Yes, our curriculum is regularly updated to ensure you learn the latest industry standards, tools, and technologies that are relevant in the field.
How long is the program?
The program includes a four-week Introductory Course followed by a 32-week Complete Program, totaling 36 weeks. You can also choose to add an optional eight-week CompTIA® Security+ Certification Exam Prep Course.
What are the class schedules?
Classes are held in the evenings, either on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, making it easy to fit into your schedule.
Where do the classes take place?
The program is 60% live, virtual classes and 40% self-paced study. You will participate in live online sessions and connect with peers and instructors via a cloud-based platform.
When can I enroll?

Who teaches the program?
Our courses are taught by a team of seasoned cybersecurity professionals.
Eligibility
Is this program only for current or former students?
No, the University of Miami Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp is open to anyone 18 and older, regardless of your educational or professional background.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to enroll in the bootcamp.
Do I need a degree or tech experience to enroll?
No degree or prior tech experience is required. If you have any questions about eligibility, contact an Admissions Advisor at 305-425-1151.
Can I transfer credits to or from this bootcamp?
No, credits earned in the University of Miami Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp cannot be transferred to or from other courses or degree programs.
What is the application process?
First, schedule a consultation with an Admissions Advisor to determine if cybersecurity is the right path for you. Then, meet with a Senior Enrollment Advisor to discuss program details and your career goals before starting the introductory course.
Is this program eligible for tax reporting?
The Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp is a non-credit professional program offered by the University of Miami Division of Continuing and International Education. Per current Treasury Regulations, we do not include information about those courses on IRS Form 1098-T. For detailed information, consult IRS Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Higher Education.
Financing
What is the program cost?
Tuition is $15,820, plus $180 for the Introductory Course. Please note that tuition, fees, and deposits are subject to change.
Are there financing options?
Yes, several financing options are available, including personal or private education loans, monthly 0% interest payment plans, or full payment after the Introductory Course. For more information, contact our Admissions Advisors at 305-425-1151.
Do you offer referral discounts?
Yes. If you refer a friend, they will receive a $1,000 discount on the Complete Program. Terms and conditions apply.

Is job search assistance available?
Yes, we offer career prep support, including LinkedIn profile optimization and resume assistance. You will also have access to personalized job search strategies and interview coaching from our Career Outcomes team.
What virtual events are offered?
Throughout the program, you will have access to live virtual events such as networking events, career fairs, skill-building webinars, industry panels, mock interview days, and workshops.
Do career support services cost extra?
No, all career support services are included in the program’s tuition.
Is job placement guaranteed?
Although we provide extensive job search support during and for six months after the program, job placement is not guaranteed. However, our Career Outcomes team is committed to assisting you throughout your job search journey.

What is a rolling cohort?
Select cohorts will use a rolling cohort delivery model. Participants will learn from a university-approved instructor and alongside students from other participating universities across the country. After completing the requirements, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Miami Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp.
